I always think something exciting should happen on today. Nothing really ever does (Doctor Who doesn't really count. That would be exciting if you put it on the most mundane day of the year), and I end up sorely dissapointed.

New Year Resolution time~ I didn't make any last year, which does mean I can't really look back and reflect, but I am determined to make this year good!!

- Get Organised. Seriously. Do stuff, set deadlines, make things happen. Don't put stuff off to the last minute, but be proactive.
- Pass GCSEs, preferably with all A/A* grades. Consequently, get into sixth form and do well there. Basically, go academica go.
- Complete a few comics and make improvements in my art. Get a portfolio ready, and maybe a website.
- Celebrate 16th in style - let's make this a fabulous year of birthdays and celebrations!

I think the general gist is to just get stuff done, get somewhere and do something with life this year. I think I'll be happy if I get to the end of this year doing well in sixth form, enjoying myself with a few comics under my belt.

Bring it on 2010!!

Well, first week of Mock Exams is over. And most of them are now done. This is good :3

My Art exam went okay... 10 hours of work, even spread over two days is quite a bit though. I was quite glad when it was over. English and Maths went well, and I'm feeling quite pleased about my history exam. German speaking went better than I thought, as did the controlled coursework. The listening also didn't go too badly, but the reading went rather terribly, I think. As did my ICT exam. But apart from that, it went well!

Looking forward to C4 and going to Handm@de with Kiri tommorrow. Should be fun XD.

Ich werde mein ganzes Blog in Deutsch schreiben, um mein Deutsch zu verbessen, weil ich nicht in der Deutschprüfung durchfallen möchte. Ich habe Acht Tag vor mein Deutschprüfung und ich müsste vier Fragethemen lernen.

Also, ich beabsichtige mein LJ in Deutsch zu schreiben. Meiner Meinung nach, es werde sowohl schrecklich als auch prima sein.

(And I'm alread sick of it, but I neeed the practice. More tommorrow maybe? Or possibly later?)

An english translation:
I will write my entire blog in german in order to improve my german because I don't want to fail my german exams. I have eight days before my german exam, and I must learn 4 question topics.

Therefore, I intend to write my LJ in German. In my opinion, it will be either terrible or great.

Well, I've got my first set of predicted grades through. Which are going to be revised according to my performance in the Mock Exams (which are in a week. EEK!) Anyway, here they are!:

Art - A
Biology - A*
Chemistry - A*
English - A*
German - A (where's this come from? Ich spreche nicht Deutsch!!)
History - A (Follows the pattern of predicting a grade below coursework, but I want that A* in this subject!!!)
ICT - A
Mathematics - A*
P.E Short Course - B (lol what? I've spent half of core (which is half the marks) drawing smilie faces)
Physics - A*

So if these stay the same, I'll be pretty happy. I do want an A* in history though!! And they should have split English up, seeing as it's two GCSEs (and while I might make an A* in Lang, I'm not in Lit. Possibly an A)

So that lists up to 5 A*s, 5 As, and a B in a subject which I don't care about! If you split the Englishes anyway! I'm happy!!

Now back to revision and coursework so I can actually make these grades!

I don't know why anyone actually bothers watching reality t.v shows. I didn't watch X-Factor tonight and I still know exactly what happened. It's quite amusing actually to watch what must be unfolding on live t.v. from the the comfort of your own facebook feed :)

Now, back to work. I have an artist study to finish and a ton of german to write before I can call it done for the day. And I was hoping to get a page inked as well.

Anyway, it looks like I'm going to be in london a fair bit come October. Seeing as Expo is coming up and all. My mum also found out about the SD V&A thing and thinks I should go to that as well... Anyone want to be travel buddies?? I think my mother is getting a little sick of taking me to london.

Well, that's about all the news I have. Apart from I have come down with a bit of a cold because Cameron sunk my kayak on the weekend. That boy will die.

Interesting discussion in Maths today about Cardcaptors. This is why I love my life. And I wasn't even the person who started the geeky talk this time.

In other news, I got A*s in all four exams I took last summer. Yay!

Oh, and schools back. 'Part, from that I don't have much to say.

Is amazing fun. Especially when you start sticking song lyrics/shakespeare quotes into it.

Some of it comes out as garbled nonsense like this one.

Some of them you find some of the middle one's more interesting and the end result not much different to what you stuck in in the first place aka this one

And occaisionally you find a real gem. This is a good example.

Explosion, glass display SHASUTAMAUNTO!! is now my new favourite phrase. I shall go around yelling it loudly with PUFFY blaring away in the background.

Or at least I would if I was not going to Munich tommorrow. Somehow I think it would be lost on the Germans. Speaking of german, I need to go and study some stuff.

Well, today was pretty much a bore. Stupid Playscheme. But in a year I can get paid (12 hours a week at £5.25 an hour. For what will be a 16 year old in a recession doing what is actually very little work that doesn't sound bad at all)

And with boredom come crack. And seeing as me and Kiri are still riding the Sailor Moon/Dragon Heir crossover waves from expo, that's what I did.

Protus and Ella. Kiri's Ella Mask was so much better than mine *fails* But I like Protus... poor him.

And everyone else. Ran into slight problems here onto exactly who was who (Lyntra is very obviously Mercury and Furose Mars, but Nute and Kalm. No idea. For this I've plumped for Nute=Jupiter and Kalm=Venus, but it's probably the other way round). Also, no reference of the actual scouts so it kind of got to the point where I was making it up. Still...

Inspired by a picture on deviantART. I would look it up but I'm really feeling lazy at the moment... Anyway, it's pretty much the entire cast of Legendary Saviour!! It's only missing the two who I never draw cause they don't really fit in anywhere... *probably should actually work on them more*

In other news, I'm still trying to decide whether Fairytale is the greatest masterpiece ever of whether someone should confiscate that bloody violin and all it's double stops.

EXPO!

May Expo was awesome!! Went both days for the first time, and it was amazing. Highly exhausting though.

Good Points!

- Getting driven to the station in a sports car. Was totally not expecting that... And one of my none-expo going friends was there, and took a picture of our saturday group! We had pictures already and it was only 6:30 in the morning.

- Getting down there before expo even opened, and realising I was on the same bus as John Aggs and Sally. Then managed to bump into Volker (looking extremely awesome as usual) and then Sonia and Matt heading hurridly in the opposite direction.

- Buying so many small-press comics that my bag had broke by 2:00. I had to be rescued by mangazebra who luckily had a spare bag with her! Thank you muchley! I owe you one!

- Sweatdrop meets and ITCH signing. So many awesome people I met. Thanks to everyone I met, you guys were all awesome. And thank you very much for putting up with me - I seemed to float around not doing much.

- Seeing Codename:Pepsi in print! So many late hours were put into that, so it's amazing to see it actually finally printed!!!

- And talking of making comics, the DIY Comics panel was also amazing!! I was a bit late - I heard Pud over the loud speaker from the artists alley, ditched all my stuff and left it with Kiri, grabbed my markers and artist alley piece and rushed over there. It was really good!! The advice was certainly helpful!!

- Also thanks to Willie for letting me sit behind the ITCH table for an hour! I even managed to sell something while Willie was caught up talking to Paul and Kate!

- Getting interviewed for Italian Web TV... Not quite sure what this was about actually... We had managed to gather everyone for the Sweatdrop meet, just sat down and started talking when this lady comes up to me and says my Ed cosplay is very good. We think she's just going to leave it at that, but she then says that she has an Italian Web TV film crew with her and would I mind being interviewed?? Completely freaked out, I said yes and spent the next 30 seconds fretting (particualry as by that time I'd lost well over half of the Ed costume) and then made a right fool of myself in front of the camera... They then persuaded to interview Kiri and I believe they caught Marbles as well?? Anyway, the website is here http://www.cooltoon.tv but I don't speak a word of Italian so I don't know what's going on there...

- Just generally everything. So many awesome people were there and you all helped to make my days really extra awesome!! So thanks to everyone and anyone I ran into!!

Seeing as there weren't any real bad points (apart from the tiredness and general "aghh my feet hurt") we shall move onto pictures!

I'm sitting happily listening to music, when Feuer Frei comes on and I realise that unless I manage to yank my headphones out very quickly, I'm going to be deaf very quickly.

Didn't quite manage it in time, so my ears are ringing quite a bit. My Ipods on half volume, and yet is lying on the floor with the headphones nowhere near my ears and I can still here it as loud as if it was coming out my laptop speakers. Something is odd here...

It's my birthday today!! I am finally 15 years of age. I no longer feel quite so young. Though I'm still a youngster compared ot most people.

It has been a very awesome day. Family finally seems to have cottoned onto the entire "buy Japanese influenced things and she'll be happy" thread, and that helped by the fact both my grandparents have stores that sell momiji goods near them, it was a very momiji filled day.

And then to round it off, I was watching "James May: My sisters top toys" because the temptation of watching Captain Slow doing girly things is too great to miss, when I spotted yet more momiji.

In 4 days I'll be 15... now there's a scary thought.

I really haven't thought about it much... been too busy doing other things, such as drawing Codename:Pepsi and worrying about exams.

But it's just really weird to think about it. I think of my birthday as the mid point of the year (a month early maybe, but it's a nice point to remember) so half the years already gone by... I guess time does get quicker as you get older.

And anyway, it's not like there's a grand amount of surprise in it. I know exactly what I'm getting, and I even know that the chances of it being delivered in time are around nought (And nice 16gb silver ipod nano. My previous mp3 player was tiny and getting veyr beat up)

So anyway, only 4 days till I'm 15... *goes back to what she should be doing*

There is a reasoning to this madness. Namely the 8:00am flight I have have to catch with my family tommorrow morning... we're going on holiday to Tenerife!

Been working pretty well today... I think clearing my desk yesterday has helped. It looks so much better and actually has increased my work rate my miles, and hasn't got to crowded yet...
